My Time In Exile originally released on the Japanese version of Out of the Vein and later with A Collection One of the bands best songs in my opinion (Just kidding it's not that bad)īonfire I actually kind of like this song alrightĪlright Caroline A little know demo that would likely be lost forever without the internet. Adult alternative easy listening political activism trying to hard whathappenedtothethirdeyeblindiloved is how I would describe it. Ursa Major is a new sound for the band that is difficult to describe. The hype of Ursa Major's debut at #3 on Billboard Top 200 was short lived. ![]() The EP also came with a video, The Making of Ursa Major, that gives a rare optic into the band Why Can't You Be about "always resenting each other for our flaws" Red Star a song you'll probably either love or hate Non Diary Creamer a very political song that was 4 years too late The EP was also probably purposed to shine some light back on the band before the upcoming release of Ursa Major. The three song EP was the first original content in five years off, from what Jeknis called writers block. If you listen, listen to the lyricsĪ compilation album of their best, or most popular songs. Self Righteous a slow and depressing song about how we are all so full of shit. Wake for Young Souls another song that seems to be a reminder of the preceding decade ![]() (If you're going to have sex with someone while listening to a Third Eye Blind album, use this album)įaster probably the bands most sexual songįorget Myself a great song about Jenkis' personal stuggle to stay true to himselfĬrystal Baller most popular song on the albumĬan't Get Away catchy song reminicent of the 90s Inventive riffs compliment introspective lyrics and set Third Eye Blind apart from the rest of the 90s hoopla still trying to make it in the 2000s. The album is a completion of the bands transition to alternative rock and many of the songs are believed to have been about his breakup with Charlize Theron (he told her he wouldn't marry her so she left him). My personal favorite album of Third Eye Blind, Out of the Vein, while debuting at #12 on Billboard Top 200, didn't get great reviews from non fans. Slow Motion this great song was originally released instrumental because the label deemed it too violent in the wake of Colombine Never Let You Go one of the bands last great popish songs and probably the most popular on the albumĭeep Inside of You one of the bands most intimate songs Blue is a darker album(with the notable exception of "Never Let You Go") and transitioned well from the 90s popish rock into the punk/ angst of the early 2000s. Third Eye Blinds second album probably didn't live up to the hype of their self titled debut but still went platinum. Motorcycle Drive By a great song that has gained popularity in recent years God of Wine one of my favorite songs form the band and Jenkins' favorite to preform live I Want You a less known gem and Jenkins' favorite song by the band How's it Gonna Be slightly less popular but just as great as the first two ![]() Jumper another very popular 90s song that most everyone has heard Semi-Charmed Life this catchy tune is the bands most popular song ever Many people consider this the best album 3eb ever made, and that the rest of their career has been a downward spiral, I do not share this view. The band became famous almost overnight with the hit songs "Semi-Charmed Life", "How it's Gonna Be", and "Jumper". This was the bands first and most popular album, spending 104 weeks on the Billboard Top 200 and going platinum 6x. Jenkins dated the beautiful Charlize Theron from 1997-2000. Jenkins graduated valedictorian of USC Berkely in 1987 The band was formed in 1993 by Jenkins and Kevin Cadogan, but didn't gain any sort of notoriety until they signed with Elektra Records in 1995. Keeping with the all of the fantastic guides that people have been making lately I decided I should make one for anyone who has never had the privledge of exploring the musical genius of Stephan Jenkins and Third Eye Blind.
